Dwight Jones is the esteemed Founder and President of Education Partners, a reputable firm offering comprehensive support to schools and districts across 20 different states.

With a distinguished career in education and the private sector, Dwight's journey has been nothing short of impressive. Prior to founding Education Partners, he showcased his exemplary leadership as the Denver Public Schools Interim Superintendent and Senior Deputy Superintendent, where he dedicated himself to serving students, staff, and communities.

Dwight's passion for education also led him to hold pivotal roles in the private sector. As Senior Vice President at McGraw-Hill Education, he collaborated with leading national, regional, and local associations and organizations, forging innovative partnerships to address the needs of administrators, teachers, and students in some of the largest and most academically diverse U.S. school districts.

Before his time at McGraw-Hill Education, Dwight served at the Discovery Channel, providing strategic guidance and valuable insights to the organization's Education Division.

Additionally, Dwight served as the Superintendent of the Clark County School District in Las Vegas, Nevada, the nation's fifth-largest school district. During his tenure, he championed a transformative school reform agenda, raising academic standards and ensuring all 320,000 students were equipped for success in college, careers, or the military.

Prior to his impactful work in Nevada, Dwight served as the Colorado Commissioner of Education, overseeing the education of over 830,000 students across more than 1,700 schools in 178 public school districts. His efforts to revamp state standards, enhance accountability, and narrow achievement gaps, particularly those related to race and socioeconomic status, earned widespread recognition and accolades from governors, legislators, and colleagues across the country. Notably, he spearheaded the development of the renowned Colorado Growth Model, a tool that effectively portrays overall achievement in individual schools and districts to administrators, educators, and the public. This innovative model has since been successfully implemented in more than 15 states.

With a vast and diverse range of experience, Dwight has served in various superintendent, curriculum, and development roles, as well as held principal positions at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Furthermore, his dedication to education extends to his time as an elementary and middle school teacher in Kansas.

A national speaker and a published author in esteemed educational publications, Dwight's expertise and insights have garnered him a reputation as an influential voice in the education field. He currently holds advisory roles on several boards, including his position as a Senior Advisor to Whiteboard Advisors, a renowned firm based in Washington D.C.

Amidst his illustrious career, Dwight has been recognized with numerous prestigious awards, including the AASA Distinguished Service Award (2019), the NAACP's Heartbeat Award (2013), the Asian Chamber of Commerce Community Achievement Award (2013), the Chairman's Award of Excellence from the Nevada Latin Chamber of Commerce (2012), recognition as an Alumni Fellow for Kansas State University's College of Education (2011), and induction into the esteemed Troops to Teachers Hall of Fame (2010).

Beyond his professional achievements, Dwight cherishes his personal life in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he resides with his beloved wife, Jenifer, and his three children, Alexandra, Dallas, and Landry.
